Isn’t it wonderful, the weather is starting to get cooler and the change
of seasons is upon us. My love of autumn shows in my stitching and there is
nothing better than warming up by stitching with a room full of friends.
Please bring any of your “train” themed ornaments to the next chapter
meeting or to the Mission Valley Library Chat n Stitch. We would like to
have all ornaments to Sandra Helt by Monday, November 2nd. The “train” tree
is our donation to the Model Railroad Museum and we hope the Museum has a
huge success on selling opportunity tickets for the tree. The drawing will
be on Tuesday, December 8th.
Keep the Soldier Kissing Pillows coming, we have just about reached our
2009 goal of 55 pillows. This is an ongoing outreach, so you can always keep
a kit in your purse when waiting at the doctors office, at the DMV office,
during commercials and any spare moments that present themselves.
Don’t forget, this year the holiday party is on Sunday, December 6th
starting at 12:30. This is a potluck, bring whatever you would like. Plus
bring a stitched themed gift for the gift exchange.
