Thank you Margaret B for “challenging” us to think outside the pattern! I
know that I am inspired to try a few new stitching alternatives and look
forward to seeing what everyone creates.
Margi has set up the display for the San Diego County Fair, hope everyone
gets a chance to view the wonderful stitched pieces at the fair. The Muchas
Manos Donated Prize went to the First Place Winner of the Sampler class. The
honorary membership has once again been presented to a member of our chapter
for her wonderful sampler entitled “Fleurs de Provence”. See story on page
3. And there are many other pieces by our members that you will see when
visiting the fair.
Now for some awesome news, the Stash Stimulus Sale was extreme. Our
sales, before expenses are $1469. The best I’m sure in Muchas Manos history.
A special thank you to Marque for storing the many boxes and to all the
volunteers that helped setup, teardown and have fun. Way to go team!!
Continue stitching the soldier kissing pillows and let us know if you
want to make a pledge for numbers to complete by the end of 2009.
