I know that quite a few of our members are preparing for EGA's National
Seminar in Louisville, Kentucky, the first week in September, followed
immediately by ANG's National Seminar, closer to home at Indian Wells,
California. Seminars are always exciting times when we learn something new
for our stitching repertoires, meet new friends and get together with old
friends. Who's going to have the Pizza and Wine get-together in their hotel
room at EGA's Golden Gala this year?
I am delighted to welcome two new members to our chapter: Marque and
September. September has a lot of beading experience, and Marque is fearless
in trying new techniques.
The pilot stitchers for the Circle with Blue Flower GCC proposal have
begun their work! Most of what's been done is a review of the written
materials to clarify questions about fabric and fibers, but it is shaping up
to be a very successful program.
Have you thought of any organizations or facilities to which we could
donate our Christmas tree with hand-stitched ornaments?
Enjoy your waning summer days of stitching – may your stitches be many
and your frogs be few. Ina
